From a student’s viewpoint,
without specific content to ‘learn’ or revise,
it can be perplexing trying to understand what you need to ‘know’,
how to approach the exam and how it is being judged. The
key to tests of this nature is an ability to address issues
globally yet understand how to evaluate and form a measured
opinion through the use of both critical, problem solving
and interpersonal skills. Simplistically it is to reach a
conclusion that is the most appropriate within the boundaries
of the question.
The GRADMED one-day course is focused on those aspects where
it is possible to define and strengthen skills, and understand
how to enhance aptitude and promote intellectual strength.
Resources will include specifically produced questions together
with a set of model essays.
The course includes the following aspects
- Critical thinking and verbal reasoning
- Forms
of written response and essay formats
